MOBILE Alberto Braida : Klavier John Hughes : Kontrabass "Mobile" is Alberto Braida, piano and John Hughes, double bass. Braida and Hughes have developed a musical vocabulary which enable them to make split-second decisions to tap into sources of inspiration, or to completely abandon historical references in order to create a completely new and surprising sonic world. Extreme variations of form and developement yield moments of quiet, transparent tension countered by shifts into propulsive and driving rythymic passages. Each "Mobile" performance provides Alberto and John with the opportunity to renew an on-going musical dialogue which functions beautifully in duo.
