September 2012 (Schouwburgplein) Born in 1963, Heddy Boubaker started music by playing electric guitar in Rock bands as a teenager, since long time passed and he played many other musical styles and then progressively switched to the alto and bass saxophone; Since 2011 he stopped all his saxophone practice and started to play analog modular synth and electric bass. His main musical activities are now centered on improvised music and sound research; in solo or with others musicians, poets, dancers… he is really found of musical meetings too. He played on many international places with a lot of partners (M.Doneda, J-L.Guionnet, E.Prevost, B.Ulher, P.Battus, Lê Quan Ninh, D.Lazro, M.Kerbaj, C.Thomas, S.Beresford, E.Chadbourne, C.Abdenour, C.Wodrascka, J-L.Cappozzo among others). Studierte Musik und Mathematik in Kassel sowie Philosophie und Kunstgeschichte in Hamburg. 1988 erste Kompositionen. Seit 1990 liegt der Schwerpunkt bei der raumbezogenen Musik für Ensembles unterschiedlicher Besetzungen, der Entwicklung einer Präparations- und Untertontechnik für Streichinstrumente sowie Forschungen über das Kreisen. Versucht eine nicht- Tonhöhenorganisierte Musik zu entwickeln. Lectures über seine Musik am Trinity-College/Dublin, an der Musikhochschule Stuttgart, am Mozarteum in Salzburg, am California Arts Institute in Los Angeles, am Centre for Contemporary Music in Dublin und dem Central Conservatory of Music in Beijng/China, Musikhochschule Freiburg/Br. Seit 2004 Cellist beim Improvisationstrio NORDZUCKER. weitere infos unter: https://www.stock11.de Birgit Ulher studierte Malerei und Freie Kunst, die noch immer einen grossen Einfluss auf ihre Musik hat. Seit 1982 lebt sie als freischaffende Musikerin in Hamburg. Seitdem hat sie eine individuelle, am Klang orientierte musikalische Sprache jenseits des offenen Trompetentons entwickelt. Sie arbeitet mit Radio, Lautsprechern und anderen Objekten und hat damit ihre eigenen Spieltechniken und Präparationen entwickelt. Ausserdem gilt ihr besonderes Interesse dem Verhältnis von Stille und Klang.Ihre Arbeit umfasst sowohl akustische, als auch elektroakustische Projekte, Solo-Performances und Projekte mit bildenden Künstlern und Tänzern. Zusammenarbeit u.a. mit Ute Wassermann, Gino Robair, Leonel Kaplan, Christoph Schiller, Heddy Boubaker, Gregory Büttner, dem stark bewölkt Quartett und Nordzucker.
