Approaches to Improvisation 🧩 Workshop by Lotte Anker Hörbar is hosting a workshop by world-renowned improviser Lotte Anker. Come as a participant or as an audience member. Registration link in bio. Participants will inspect the dynamics between improvisation and composition, ways to explore sound material, texture and structure, noise and silence, interaction, forms of listening, freedom and discipline, alternative and open scores. Lotte will bring material and concepts that the group can use as an outset. Participants’ ideas, suggestions, and shared experiences are welcome. Lotte Anker is a Copenhagen-based saxophone player and composer working in the field between experimental jazz/improvisation and contemporary music. Lotte has initiated and led many highly acclaimed collaborations, like those with Fred Frith, Craig Taborn, Gerald Cleaver, Sylvie Courvoisier and Ikue Mori.
